Alison Marklein (she/her) is a Senior Scientist at Eion, a carbon removal company responsibly scaling enhanced rock weathering (ERW) on agricultural lands. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she received her BA in Computational Biology from Cornell University and her Ph.D. in Ecosystem Biogeochemistry from UC Davis. She is passionate about improving the sustainability of agriculture, with the overarching goal of improving socio-environmental justice and equity. Alison is also an advisor for The ClimateMusic Project, a nonprofit using music to inspire action on climate change.
