Brian Sergi is a PhD student in Engineering & Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on energy systems modeling, analysis of electric power and electricity markets, and public perceptions of energy technologies and their environmental implications. His thesis focuses on how considerations of climate change and air pollution might be integrated for better decision-making in the electricity sector. Brian graduated with a B.S. in Science, Technology, and International Affairs from Georgetown University and has worked at Argonne National Lab and the Science and Technology Policy Institute. He was a Breakthrough Generation fellow in 2012.
