Devon currently works for Google on their Global Energy Market Development and Policy team. Prior to joining Google, Devon was a utility-scale solar project developer for First Solar.
Devon was a Breakthrough Generation Fellow in the Class of 2009, and then joined Breakthrough Staff as a Project Director from 2009-2012. At Breakthrough, Devon worked on projects related to economic and energy policy. He is a lead or co-author of a number of Breakthrough reports, including "Manufacturing Growth: Advanced Manufacturing and the Future of the American Economy," "Where Good Technologies Come From," "Taking on the Three Deficits," and "Rising Tigers, Sleeping Giant." Devon also co-directed the Breakthrough Generation program in 2010 and 2011.
Devon earned his master's degree in international economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelor's degree in international relations from Stanford University. Devon can be followed on Twitter @devonswezey.
