Kathryn Salam is the Executive Editor of the Breakthrough Journal, a role to which she brings over a decade of prior experience as the Digital Editor for Foreign Affairs, Deputy Editor for Foreign Policy, and Editorial Director for Greenmantle, a macroeconomic advisory firm.

She holds an MA in political science from New York University and a BA in international relations from Washington University in St. Louis. Her writing has appeared in Foreign Policy.
