Nima Veiseh
Nima Veiseh is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, and is currently working on his PhD in Economics at Georgetown University. His research focus is how economic growth is affected by institutional and technological change. An avid traveler, Nima competes internationally in taekwondo, and recently visited his 40th country in order to understand how different places in the world develop differently. While at MIT, he worked in the Media Lab creating classroom technologies to help education in developing parts of the world. After MIT, he spent two years working in the financial sector before starting at Columbia University, where he had the opportunity to teach and perform research at the Earth Institute.
