Academic Liaison, Breakthrough Institute; Editor in Chief, Case Studies in the Environment
@jenn_bernsteinDr. Jennifer Bernstein works at the Breakthrough Institute as an academic liaison, communicating and disseminating Breakthrough’s work in higher education. She holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, as well as Masters degrees in geography and science education. Her work has been published in academic journals including the Journal of Environmental Studies and Sciences, Lessons in Conservation, and Nature Climate Change. Her popular writing has been featured in the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and The Conversation. She is also Editor in Chief of Case Studies in the Environment, co-chair of the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences awards committee, on the board of the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences branded book series, and a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California. She was a Training and Retaining Women in STEM (TRELIS) 2020 Fellow.
